How I work
Short answer: I ask hard questions early so you don't hit hard walls late.
Not the brief. The underlying problem. Most briefs describe a symptom. The first thing I do is find the cause, by talking to the people who know and reading between the lines of the data.
Legacy systems, compliance requirements, stakeholder misalignment. I need to know what we're working with before I design anything. This isn't a delay. It's what keeps the work from falling apart in delivery.
I design for the person using this tired, distracted, or first week on the job. The edge case is where the product proves itself or doesn't.
Design doesn't end at handoff. I stay close to implementation, flag deviations that matter, and protect the decisions the team agreed were load-bearing. Not everything is worth a fight. I know the difference.

Before transitioning fully into product design, I built a strong foundation in photography and visual storytelling, with work published across major outlets. That experience continues to shape how I approach design today - particularly in composition, hierarchy, and visual clarity.
